Dear Parishioners,

May the Lord grant you a very blessed Advent! We begin Advent focusing on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We finish Advent focusing on His First Coming, humbly in a manger. Between these two comings is the coming of Jesus Christ to each one of us – to the extent that we allow Him to be the center of our life. Most importantly, He comes to us in the Eucharist! And then in the other sacraments, and in prayer. Allowing Him to be the center of our life, we have no need to fear the judgment that will characterize His Second Coming. In this new Advent season, let's work on allowing Him to be still more fully the King at the center of our life.

On another note, we have a new Principal Organist and Choir Director. Her name is Lei Ray Yu. She goes by “Ray.” This past August, she moved to Findlay with her daughters, after her husband, Brandon, took the position of Music Director for Findlay St. Michael's Parish. Her degree is Doctor of Musical Arts, and she has excellent skills on the organ and piano. I hope you will welcome her when you see her.

We are looking for some more cantors. If you would like to be trained as a cantor, or even broach the possibility, please call the parish office, and we'll get in touch with you.

Have a blessed Advent!

In cordibus Iesu, Mariae et Iosephus,

Father Poggemeyer
