Families, our parish wants to help you to
become who you are!
Parents - how are you fulfilling the vow to the Lord that you made at your child's baptism to raise him or her in the practice of the Catholic faith and to keep the flame of faith alive in their hearts & their eyes fixed on Jesus?
The primary
vocation of a parent, your
primary responsibility and mission, is to help your children to become
saints! This is a dauting task, but do not fear! Our Lord will provide all the grace that you need, and our parish is here to guide you every step of the way!
The way we hope to do so is through
Family Faith Formation,
a
hybrid structure
for faith formation for the whole family, allowing for learning and prayer to happen both in community of our parish & at home in the context of the family each month!
Children
ages 3 - grade 8 &
their parents gather a few times each month on
Sunday for learning and study, community, fellowship, and prayer. Many
high school
YDisciple small groups also meet during this time.
Once or twice a month, parents meet for their own time of fellowship, prayer & learning, while children have their own session with catechists. There is a third opportunity each month for the whole family to engage in prayer and conversation together. Parent sessions involve presentations on the topic of the month, small group discussion, prayer, and a guest speaker once a month.
