Dear Parishioners,

We are now in the second week of the public phase of our capital campaign, after having made personal visits to numerous parishioners in the first 10 weeks or so of the campaign. Thank you so much to everybody who has participated thus far. I'm writing this letter a week ahead of time – due to publication deadlines – so I won't venture to guess the progress we've made by the time you are reading this. You can see the progress in the chart in our bulletin, and on the huge goal thermometer in the gathering space.

You have seen the goals of the diocese for this campaign on numerous occasions: strengthening parishes, strength and health of clergy, forming future leaders, outreach to the poor through Catholic Charities and Helping Hands of St. Louis, repairs and ongoing care of the Cathedral. These are all very commendable goals, coming straight out of the strategic plan of the Diocese that you have seen announced and updated in the bulletin over the last few years.

Here is a reminder of the parish goals for the 35% of campaign money which comes back to us: building a new storage building, a new rectory roof, updating the church lighting, repairing the parking lots. I think these are all super concrete, sensible projects.

We have made available on social media the official Diocesan capital campaign video. If you have not seen it yet, please watch it at this site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7ZNZNjj-AU.

Again, thanks for all the generosity towards the campaign that we have already experienced, and in advance for what we will experience. If you have any questions about the campaign, please call the office.

Have a blessed week!

In cordibus Iesu, Mariae et Iosephus,

Father Poggemeyer
