Welcome to the schedule for the 2021-22 season of the Karcher Concerts Series! An exciting year of music lies ahead as we welcome many different performers to the beautifully acoustic space of Saint Wendelin Catholic Church. Information on each of the concerts or recitals can be found below. As concerts get closer, more details will be added, especially as to some of the repertoire to be performed.

Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:00: Chamber Ensembles from Bowling Green State University
Students from BGSU will come perform an eclectic concert with music ranging from Mozart to modern day films! Instruments used will be nearly every type of flute imaginable (including a bass flute!), oboe, horn, clarinet, piano, and bassoon.
Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 7:00: The Toledo Symphony Christmas Concert
The main event of the year! Come ring in the season of Christmas as the TSO plays your favorite Christmas carols, some lesser-known Christmas music, and ends in an audience sing-a-long. Tickets are $10 each and go on sale in the Saint Wendelin Parish Office beginning on November 8.
Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 4:00: Alicia DeVore, soprano
Alicia Gallina DeVore is a soprano who currently resides in Cincinnati, OH. She holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. Her most notable operatic roles include Miss Jessel in the Turn of the Screw, Frasquita in Carmen, and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. She currently works as a chorister and cantor for the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Peter in Chains in addition to performing in independent recitals and for private events.
Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 7:30: Saint Wendelin Parish Choir
In the holiest week of the year, the Saint Wendelin Parish Choir will offer a holy week cantata so that all may meditate on the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This year's cantata is titled Wondrous Love by Lloyd Larson.
Tuesday, June, 2022 at 7:30: The Cardinal Chorale
The '21-22 season closes with the esteemed Cardinal Chorale from Coshocton, Ohio under the direction of Charles Snyder. Founded in 1995, the Cardinal Chorale is an elite ensemble of singers who have completed their first year of high school through their first year of college. Some sons and daughters of the parish have been members of the Chorale in the past. More information about the Chorale can be found at https://thecardinalchorale.com/.
