Dear Friends,
Welcome to this electronic summary of St. Wendelin Parish and Schools. We are pleased that you have consulted this site and trust that it conveys at least a portion of the energy and spirit of our Catholic Christian community.
We gather in a beautiful and worshiper-friendly church that was dedicated in 1993. Here we celebrate the Lord's faithfulness through every stage and challenge of life. Many feel we have one of the finest worship spaces in our Toledo Diocese.
Our principal ministry of service is education, religious and secular. Our schools program begins with 3-year-old pre-school children and concludes by graduating 18 year olds from St. Wendelin High School. We also have a religious education program for children and adults who are not in Catholic schools. The work and dedication to these educational processes is tremendous. We pride ourselves on conveying to a new generation the Word of God incarnated in the science and arts of the secular world.
We strive to deepen our sense of community among members and as participants in the wider society. Many of the groups you will find listed help those in need and provide chances to work with others in a spirit of fellowship.
Welcome to the worship, service, and family of St. Wendelin in Fostoria, Ohio.
Peace,
Father Nicholas Weibl, Pastor

Phil 3:8-14
Gospel
Jn 8:1-11
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area,
and all the people started coming to him,
and he sat down and taught them.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman
who had been caught in adultery
and made her stand in the middle.
They said to him,
“Teacher, this woman was caught
in the very act of committing adultery.
Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women.
So what do you say?”
They said this to test him,
so that they could have some charge to bring against him.
Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.
But when they continued asking him,
he straightened up and said to them,
“Let the one among you who is without sin
be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Again he bent down and wrote on the ground.
And in response, they went away one by one,
beginning with the elders.
So he was left alone with the woman before him.
Then Jesus straightened up and said to her,
“Woman, where are they?
Has no one condemned you?”
She replied, “No one, sir.”
Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you.
Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”
Key Passage:
John 8:7…He (Jesus) straightened up and said to them, “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Reflection Question:
Adult: Have you ever been too willing to “cast the first stone” when you disapproved of someone’s behavior? How can you resist these feelings?
Youth: When have you criticized or made fun of someone? What could help you act differently?
