Class Materials:

 

Classroom Behavior:

Behavior is expected to be in accordance with the Code of Behavior given in the Student Handbook.

We respect one another and provide time and place where each student can learn.

 

Homework:

Normally, students should spend 40 minutes on French homework.

Written work should be neatly done.

French assignments need extra care given to sentence structure, spelling, accents.

Paragraph composition should be drafted first on working paper, edited and then copied in a final form to submit for grading.

Vocabulary learning: students should learn about 600 vocabulary words / expressions each year. Each student should develop his / her own system for learning and reviewing vocabulary.

 

Absence from class:

Students who are absent from class are expected to contact the teacher for the missed work so that when they return to class, they are prepared for the new lesson. Asking for tutoring is expected.

 

Missed Tests / Quizzes

Students are expected to come to the teacher as soon as possible saying that

Missed tests and quizzes are administered at 7:40 a.m. and at 2:40 p.m.

They should be taken before the corrected tests are returned to the rest of the class.
