Advanced Placement French includes

·         study of the techniques of literary analysis as well as a basic vocabulary of critical terms

·         familiarity with an advanced range of French idioms

·         listening to 5-7 minute recorded passages or conversations in French

 

Reading of the following works is to lead to analyzing the works in discussion followed by essay writing. Particular attention should be given to character and theme, structure and style, and how these elements are related to overall interpretation.
