ART I
Art I is an introductory course designed to be complete in
itself or else to be a foundation for more intensive study. The main focus is drawing, using methods that
access the creative R-mode of brain processing, and understanding the elements
and principles of design. Students
produce several drawings, a painting, a ceramic slab pot, a linoleum block
print, a calligraphy quotation, and a cartoon character.
