:: PHILOSOPHY
The St. Wendelin Preschool program
is designed to open and develop young minds to all aspects
of life-long learning, including spiritual, social, intellectual,
physical and emotional experiences. In an environment
of caring love each child experiences Jesus as "friend".
:: CURRICULUM
Meeting each child's needs
and interests is a goal of the preschool curriculum.
Using developmentally appropriate practices, personnel
introduce the children to literature, art, music, math
and reading readiness, and multicultural awareness. :: PERSONNEL
The preschool teacher is certified by the Ohio Department
of Education. Both the teacher and the preschool aide
take continuing education workshops in first aid and
early childhood education. :: ENROLLMENT
In accordance with Christian principles, children of
any race, color, ethnic origin or religious preference
are welcome. Children are accepted who are three or
four on or before August 1st. Maximum class size is
18 per session of four-year-olds and 15 per session
of three-year-olds. ::
SCHEDULE
Class sessions for three-year-olds are on Tuesdays and
Thursdays. Four-year-olds meet on Mondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays. Morning sessions are 8:00 a.m. to 10:45
a.m. Afternoon sessions are 12:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Classes begin the first full week in September and end
the last full week in May.

PARENTAL
INVOLVEMENT
Preschool personnel believe that parents are the child's
primary educators. Parental involvement is strongly
encouraged in all aspects of the program. ::
REGISTRATION
AND FEES
The preschool director is available to meet with each
child and parent prior to enrollment. A non-refundable
fee is required at the time of registration. Payment is due by the first day of school.
