Scholarships and Grants for 2012- 2013
Available to New and Returning Students

 

The Frank and Mary Bugner Scholarship

This $200.00 scholarship is awarded annually to a St. Wendelin eighth grade graduate registered as a SWCHS freshman, and is renewable for four years, as long as the student is enrolled at St. Wendelin High School.

The Emiel and Mary Cool Scholarship

This $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a registered K through 12 student in good academic standing, whose family would not otherwise be able to provide the benefit of Catholic education.

St. Wendelin Jubilee Grant

Jubilee grants are awarded annually on the basis of financial need and families’ overall circumstances. Awards of $250.00 will be given for two years to students in St. Wendelin School, grades 1-6.

The Amelia Winona Peak Memorial Scholarship

The Amelia Winona Peak Scholarship is awarded annually on the basis of financial need and the families’ overall circumstances. A $250.00 award will be given for a student in St. Wendelin School, grades 1-6.

The William and Corrine Reineke Scholarship

This scholarship of $500.00 ($250 for 2 years) is awarded annually to two registered freshmen who aspire to continue their Catholic education at the secondary level at St. Wendelin High School.

The Peggy Podach Memorial Scholarship

Any student registered to attend St. Wendelin High School for the 2012-2013 school year may apply for this $500 memorial scholarship, which is awarded annually.

The James C. Whitta Memorial Scholarship

This $250 scholarship is awarded annually to a registered K through 12 student in good academic standing, whose family would not otherwise be able to provide the benefit of Catholic education.

Rev. Donald S. Hunter Memorial Scholarship

This $250 scholarship is established in recognition of high academic commitment and achievement, regardless of financial need, and is awarded each June to four registered freshmen (two from St. Wendelin and two from St. Michael, Findlay).

Grants for Catholic Education

Monies will be awarded to aid families sending their children to Catholic schools. The award is given in 6 geographic regions, based on the total number of students in each region.
