WRAPPING IT UP

The end of the year is always busy as it is time to wrap up the end of one year and begin the transition to a new year.

Seniors are preparing for SCOPE and final exams are approaching at the end of this week.  Juniors are realizing they will emerge to be the new leaders soon and will have more responsibilities.  Eighth graders prepare to enter their high school years.  Sixth graders prepare to enter their junior high years with their Rite of Passage ceremony on Friday, May 18 at the 9AM Mass.  In addition, at this same Mass, we will recognize our St. Wendelin Elementary Distinguished Graduate award recipient.  All are welcome to attend.

Two prestigious religious honors are awarded to seniors.  The Notre Dame Award, given at Baccalaureate Mass, honors one senior girl who meets the following criteria: GPA 3.0 or higher; witness to God’s goodness through outreach to those in need, in school and/or community; regular attendance at religious services; strive to live gospel values in daily life as Mary did.

The Bishop’s Cross, given at graduation, is the highest honor that St. Wendelin bestows on a graduating senior. The honor goes to two students (one boy and one girl) who possess the following qualities and characteristics: a strong moral character and Christian values; shows a personal love for God and others; qualities of leadership; excellence in areas of service to school, community, and parish; a love for the Catholic faith and has continued to grow in the study of their religion; has high average over four years in Religion.  This award will be presented at Graduation on Sunday, May 27.

GO T.E.A.M.!  GOD BLESS!

Mr. Amlin

Do you have old cell phones around the house? Or do you have used Printer Toner Cartridges laying around? The Technology Department is starting a Recycling Program where we will send in any old cell phones and old cartidges and receive cash for those objects. That money will be used to help cover technology costs for our parish and schools. Please consider dropping those items off at the Parish or School. THANK YOU!
